Sunblock, I think I love you.

I hate sunblock.  I never liked it, and never thought I would until I started to make it. 

BONUS points*  Kids love it!!  

*Here is My Recipe* 

All ingredients: MOST be RAW, PURE, un-refined and Organic

1.  In a small pot:

  • 1/4 Cup Coconut oil
  • 1/8 Cup Sesame/JOJOBA oil
  • 1/4 Cup Shea/COCOBUTTER
  • 2Tb Beeswax pellets

2.  Melt on low until combined

3.  Whisk over ice for a minute or until you see it          firming up

Add:

  • 1 Tb (heaping) Non-Nano Un-coated Zinc Oxide

    (Toxic if you inhale powder)

4.  Keep whisking until smooth

5.  Transfer to container to cool

6.  Seal with lid when room temperature

 

Refrigerate to store between seasons

 

Be Smart and wear a hat if in the sun for long periods of time. 

You must reapply after swimming or every few hours.

When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Hair Rinse!

 Yes, when you have anything in your kitchen it is fair game. &nbsp;Especially if you have bags of lemons. &nbsp;  When I decided I wanted to make my own home and personal care products, I went straight for the computer. &nbsp;Yes, you have to check the source. &nbsp;If they are young teenage bloggers, I would maybe check a few more sites to compare... &nbsp;  Look at your consumer products you use from day to day, you are sure to find home solutions that are cheap and easy... &nbsp;And even healthier too. &nbsp;  My first mistake was ordering the "anti-aging" ingredients I wanted to duplicate at home from my expensive skincare products. &nbsp;It looked like I needed to order Hyaluronic Acid and L-Ascorbic Acid... &nbsp;After ordering them and making my Vitamin C serum multiple times, I realized what I was doing. &nbsp;The question lingered, "Wait, is this natural?"... &nbsp;No. &nbsp;It is not.  Moving Forward to my hair,&nbsp;I first started using Apple Cider Vinegar for my rinse. &nbsp;It works great. &nbsp;BUT Lemons are even better AND without that smell!!! &nbsp;Fantastic.
